I am excited to share three pieces of news with you today.
Here at thePlatform, we are extremely proud to serve as the online video management system for most of the largest cable TV service providers in United States, including: Cablevision, Cox, Comcast, and Time Warner Cable. We’re also excited to announce that we’re working with Rogers, Canada’s leading provider, on an online video initiative and look forward to sharing more details when we can.
We’re equally proud of the fact that, in just the past 2 months alone, more than 20 individual programming networks have turned to thePlatform. These include, many regional networks within Fox Sports Networks; E!; G4; Style; several regional networks within Comcast Sports Group; Travel Channel Media; Big Ten Network; and others yet to be named.
In recent weeks, there has also been a great deal of discussion about “TV Everywhere,” the effort to extend paid TV subscription content to the Web. And, we’re pleased to be involved with the back-end of Comcast’s On Demand Online trial. To date, however, most of the discussion about “TV Everywhere” has centered on the initiatives of TV service providers. But we’re broadening that today.
We’ve introduced a new set of new features for programming networks and content owners to provide “TV Everywhere” capabilities on their own Web sites, while preserving their financial and content rights arrangements with TV service providers. The new features provide solutions like an authentication adapter, authorization of video playback, adaptive content discovery and monetization, and much more. You can read the full details in our press release.
If you would like to learn more about these services, please give us a call.
