Question: What drew you to the world of off-road motorbiking?
Slade: "I watched the Dakar rally coverage this year, and a had a desire to do motorbike trips through Alaska and South America."

Question: What's your favorite aspect of the sport?
Slade: "Primarily, the ability to travel in some very rugged terrain without having to pedal."

Question: What's your favorite trip you've been on so far?
Slade: "A two-day organized ride that covered about 350 miles, with about 12-13 hours on the bike the first day. (Yep, do the math--not a very high average speed.)"

Question: What's your favorite aspect of working at thePlatform?
Slade: "The opportunity to work with some really excellent folks."

Question: Which project has been the most exciting for you at thePlatform?
Slade: "The gradual process of growing a professional services organization from nothing was very interesting and challenging."

Question: Why did you start working at thePlatform?
Slade: " When I was interviewing, I was impressed with the executive staff's approach of consciously investing in the organization rather than doing silly things to meet some arbitrary cash-flow positive goal. It also turns out that thePlatform had recently hired a good friend of mine into the same role."
