Configuration Manager
thePlatform, a subsidiary of Comcast and the industry-leading provider of broadband video management and publishing solutions, is hiring a Configuration Manager to manage builds and installers.
Our development teams build server products and customized media applications that scale for very high traffic and large collections of media content. It's a complex and challenging environment for a seasoned release engineer who will collaborate with the development teams to provide build and release management.

Responsibilities:
- Deploy and manage tools to automate the build, test, and release process across multiple development teams in a continuous integration environment.
- Enable development teams to perform scheduled and on-demand builds and automated test runs.
- Administer the source control system, develop revision control policies, and coordinate with development teams on source code organization.
- Create and maintain installers for components and applications that are distributed to customers and development partners.
- Collaborate with product management to design product installation, packaging, licensing, and the web distribution strategy.
- Ensure that third-party software licenses are properly distributed in software packages.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of Configuration Management experience with commercially available products.
- Experience with Perforce, CruiseControl, and Apache Ant and Maven.
- Experience with scripting languages for the purpose of automation.
- Experience using installer tools to create complex installers for Java enterprise applications.
- B.S. Computer Science or equivalent experience.
