Technical Account Manager
thePlatform is looking for a unique individual to fill our Technical Account Manager position. This role is very diverse, with the successful applicant being able to perform a variety of tasks that are both technical and social, such as helping chart a client's strategic use of thePlatform's services, helping customers implement and configure their account, troubleshooting current implementations, writing small scripts using thePlatform's SDK, gathering/prioritizing new feature requests, and working with customers to understand timelines and setting proper expectations.

Responsibilities
- Write updates on customer accounts to Executive Steering Committee— these can include but are not limited to latest news, contacts, issues, new requests, and features being released.
- Formally route customer requests to engineering, sales, or support as needed.
- Communicate with customer regarding new features and releases of thePlatform's services.
- Document current customer practice.
- On-site visits.
Requirements
- 2 - 4 years account management or similar experience.
- Experience working as a developer or program manager.
- Experience using XML.
- Experience with web technologies such as DHTML and Flash.
- Technical understanding of web services, and current trends in the mobile and broadband marketplace.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
- Clear, concise communication, and good verbal and written skills.
- Patience and understanding of customer's needs.
Preferences
- Knowledge of and ability to develop in .Net (C#) or Java.
- Strong understanding of web development technologies, such as Javascript.
