Users don’t like broadband video players that distract from the content. You have to give them a better player experience, or they’ll move on to an easier-to-use player. But how do you get a great user experience without lots of expensive design and development work?
Our answer is mpsPresent, a new suite of services and applications that help you develop unique broadband video players for any medium, including your site, affiliate sites, mobile phones, and even for offline playback from PCs.
The following are tools are included with mpsPresent:
Player Designer
The Player Designer allows our clients to rapidly publish a video player. With our UI, it is easy to quickly pick a layout, style, and subscribe to a media feed. Players are easily blended into websites via the ability for logo inclusion and multiple color scheme options. Players are hosted by thePlatform for display on your site or affiliated sites. The Player Designer will be commercially available later this spring.
Player Development Kit
The Player Development Kit enables our clients to create a unique broadband channel with predefined Flash controls, or create their own player controls. Users can start with pre-fabricated designs or design their own from scratch. If you need help, our partners Ascertane and Cypress Consulting can quickly produce a unique playback experience.
Feeds Service
The Feeds Service is a scalable data cache designed specifically for high-volume broadband channels to access their dynamic media catalogs. Your custom player can request feeds using dozens of different queries via SOAP, RSS, XML, or JSON for playback on mobile devices, PCs, and set-top boxes.
