Visible Measures

Visible Measures specializes in measuring Internet video consumption and distribution. Once the Visible Measures tracking plug-in is inserted into your video player, their system can capture all of the information for relevant player interaction events. This information is sent back to the Visible Measures Data Collection Grid using a standard HTTP GET request. Analysts can then use this data to get a broad view of how their videos are being consumed.

When integrated with thePlatform, Visible Measures collects and provides the following reports:

• Engagement and Viewership reports provide fundamental insights into which videos the audience is watching.

• Technical Profile Reports are available for all levels of scope and provide insight into the makeup of the audience accessing the site.

• Geolocation Reports provide the geolocation that the end user’s IP address resolves to, and are available for the country, region, and city level.

• Distribution Reports focus on where the video clips are consumed by end users as the video player is embedded into blogs, web pages, and other destinations.

• Virality reports provide insight into the way in which videos are passed along and spread by end users.
